Anxious? Start your day off with a sweat!

Do you feel anxious all the time? From the second your alarm goes off in the morning, to the time you try to fall asleep at night, do you feel like you're on edge? If so, you are not alone. Millions of people suffer from generalized anxiety disorder. I've suffered through this myself, and have a solution that can help change your whole day.

Start your day off with a sweat!

While anxiety is created in the mind, its effects wreak havoc on the body. The usual symptoms of rapid heartbeat, profuse sweating, uneasiness, indigestion, and about a billion other things, all intensify as anxiety in your life increases.

One of the best ways you help snap yourself out of this anxious state is through physical exercise. Much of your discomfort can be caused by a build-up of nervous energy, so doing what you can to burn off this excess energy will make you feel much better and more relaxed.

I've found that starting my day off with a jog outside, a bike ride, or a trip to the gym is the best way to get rid of excess anxious energy and start the day off on the right foot. Following exercise, the body naturally releases endorphins, which make you feel even better and more relaxed. Ever hear of a 'runner's high'? This is what they're talking about.

So give it a shot. Set the alarm a little earlier, and get out and get your heart rate up. Not only will you feel less anxious afterward, you'll improve your health, and will put your body into a more regular rhythm, making it easier to fall asleep at night
